Selection of the hair

Select the high-quality brush hair and test the softness and elasticity of different hair; Work out the best solution for different uses of the brushes through the hair balance, trial and error as well as scientific hair matching ratio.

Weighing

The amount of brush hair is strictly regulated. Weigh it before manufacturing to ensure a sufficient amount of hair so as to create a compact and comfortable brush head for a comfortable and pleasant makeup experience.

Carding

Re-organize the brush hair and remove the surplus hair and impurities, making the brush smooth and neat. Then tidy up the hair again on the workbench.

Molding

Put the neat hair into the molding cup and gently tap on the cup to make the hair in a rounded shape. This is the most important step in the entire manufacturing process of making make-up brushes. It seems to be quite easy but requires years of skills and experience. Generally speaking ,this step normally is finished by master craftsman.

Thread wrapping and rolling

Upon completion of primary molding, wrap the wool brush with threads to prevent the hair from coming loose. There are two ways of making a knot, depending on the length of the tube, the length of the hair and the type of the brush. Small brushes need to be wrapped for a second time so that they can be rolled into the desired shape. Rolling completely depends on hand feeling, which aims to facilitate the required arrangement and shape.

Putting into a tube

Wrap the hair with plastic paper, insert into the tube and remove the plastic paper.

Pressing the tube and measuring

Measure the width and thickness of the brush head to ensure that each brush has the same size. If pressing the tube is not needed, the size can be measured after the hair are inserted into the tube. Otherwise, press the tube first and then measure the size because some brush hair are too smooth slippery occurs when pressing the tube which may end up to be a size change.

Glue injection

Invert the brush head and inject glue into it. When injecting glue, select the design for glue and thinner, the amount of glue and the infiltration time of glue shall be according to the size of the brush, the length of the hair and the shape of the tube. This step requires skills: the hair can’t be glued down with less glue, or a waste product may appear if too much glue is added. There are Chinese domestic glue and imported glue. We use imported glue from South Korea for Texamo make-up brush and this glue has high concentration, good viscosity and strong sealing effect and smells less. After the glue is completely dry for two days, apply glue again to effectively prevent hair loss.

Inspection

Manually remove the loosen hair, short hair and impurities. Gently comb the hair from the root to the head and turn it over. After cleaning, smoothen the brush shape and put it in the PP bag for drying and forming. Special brush type also needs to be shaped with rubber powder (water chestnut powder). Then, bake it in the oven at high temperature. This applies to types such as candle flame brush and weasel-tail eye brush.

The final step

Inject glue and install the brush holder. The joint between the brush head and the brush holder is made by AB glue imported from Japan. Within 4 hours after the final step is completed, each makeup brush shall be inspected one by one every 20-30 minutes to prevent distortion.
